Instructions

STEP 1

Cut pork ribs into inch-long pieces, soak in clean water for half an hour to remove blood, changing the water two or three times during the process.

Rinse the soaked pork ribs clean.

Put the pork ribs in cold water, add ginger slices, scallion segments, and cooking wine, then bring to a boil for blanching.

After the water boils, remove the foam, then take out the pork ribs.

Put clean water in the pot, add the pork ribs and ginger slices, cover the pot, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer for about forty minutes.

While simmering the pork ribs, cut corn into small segments and carrot into small pieces for later use.

After forty minutes, add the corn and carrot, cover the pot, and continue simmering for about 30 minutes.

After half an hour, when the corn and carrot are fully cooked, add salt and white pepper powder for seasoning.

TIPS
  1. It's recommended to use sweet corn for better taste.
  2. If you prefer stronger taste and find the pork ribs not flavorful enough, you can add salt when adding the corn. Be sure to add salt in moderation; low fat and low salt is healthier.
